If you want to spend the maximum time with friends and family on your day the you've come to the right place. My name is Jacques Lloyd and I'm a documentary wedding photographer with a hands off approach. I've now been lucky enough to do my job for the last 12 years and over the time my passion for what I do has just grown. How I feed this passion is by focusing on people at weddings. Yes the details are important, but I view these as the "sprinkles on the cake." The actual cake for me is the people and the human interactions we have with one another.

For example my favourite part of the day is just after the ceremony when everyone congratulates the couple, capturing the raw emotions gives me chills down my spine...

My mantra for the day is not to interfere, but observe and document your day! We will work on a plan together so you can fully immerse yourselves in your day...

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa and relocated to UK in 2013

My favourite series are "Stranger Things" and "Better Call Saul"

I can eat chocolate cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Which annoys my wife as the answer to what cake do you want is you guessed it...

My favourite thing to do, to unwind is a walk with my wife, daughter and our two mad spaniels in my local woodlands.

Anything to do with cars and I'm there, I follow way too many youtube vloggers...

I'm worried about our planet and I do my bit where I can!

Hard to put into words how pleased we were with Jacques and the photos he captured of our day. We had a few slightly mad ideas for our wedding, top of the list probably being getting the congregation on bicycles after the Church ceremony for a procession to our venue. I think many photographers would have balked at the idea of being asked to capture the procession from the open boot of a moving car but Jacques was enthusiastic from the off!

The photos from this and the rest of the day are absolutely fantastic. He was really able to capture the energy of the day and the documentary style wonderfully captures so many of our favourite moments. Indeed, there were several points throughout the day where we thought, oh its a shame Jacques wasn't around to capture that, but lo and behold when we received our photos he had somehow got photos of it! He really was everywhere whilst at the same time blending in and being incredibly discreet. We were particularly impressed with how quickly we got through the group photos. Jacques was really efficient here and we hardly missed any of our drinks reception.

He was always quick to respond to questions we had in the run up to the day and afterwards delivered our photos much quicker than we had anticipated. Really couldn't recommend Jacques highly enough.
