Many couples dream of that perfect church wedding so I’ve been working on this post for a while now, with the thinking that it could come in handy when searching for that perfect church wedding, for the most important part of your day, the wedding ceremony.
So below I will give you the details of the churches (Some we have captured weddings at…) and also where I can mention the closest wedding venues. A small tip for anyone planning their day, try and plan to have all your venues in the same area as it means less travel for everyone (more time for us to take photos). We also follow some simple rules when shooting wedding ceremonies:
- We will always introduce and chat to the Vicar or Pastor officiating the ceremony and confirm if any restrictions for photography on the day.
- We will never use flash during your ceremony.
- If there is space to move around during your ceremony we will (Sometimes even taking our shoes off to make no noise), but most of the time we are two photographers so no need for that.
- We will never get too close during your ceremony, it’s your day and not ours.
Anyway let me leave it there and show you what I’ve put together…
The first church I would like to share is Saint Mary the Virgin in Frensham in Surrey, with some of the closest wedding venues being Millbridge Court, Farnham Castle, Northbrook Park and Froyle Park. The location of this church is ideal, and from a wedding photography point of view, fantastic with lots of charm and character.
The next one is St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church located in Winchester, Hampshire. What can I say, the photo opportunities are endless with access to the Balcony and space to move around without being noticed.
Church Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, with being in walking distance from Froyle Park making it perfect once you arrive at the venue.
So there you go, it is many couples dream to have that special church wedding ceremony and we love telling your story so get in touch and tell us about your day!
